Profile
The history of Tylco Group began in 2001, when Jens spent some of his summer holidays helping with silo installation for grain storage due to his agricultural studies. This was one of the first American silos in the country and back then nobody imagined that the demand of such products would have increased remarkably in the future.
Lars also spent the next two summers helping the same Falster-based company with silos installation and as a result of a long-time friendship between Jens and Lars, Tilma & Young ApS was founded in February 2004. Before that Jens and Lars were offering workforce through their individual companies I/S Tilma and Young Freelance Cooperation.
Neither Jens nor Lars had any practical experience of running a company, and they had to work a lot to reach the prosperity of Tilma & Young. However, the growing number of orders, as well as the increasing experience of installation teams and investment into equipment contributed to steady development of the company.
In 2006 a decision was taken to slightly restructure the company, in order to ensure its consolidation. Rolf, who was working as an assembler, became the artist of the company, and in January 2007 the company changed its name to Tylco ApS.
Tylco ApS continued its growth during the following two seasons and a professional administration for coordination of the further development of the company was established in spring 2008. A new office worker was also employed who, in addition to managing everyday office tasks, is also keeping the accounts of the company and paying the salaries of the employees.
In addition to larger investments into industrial silos installation equipment, the company has also invested into several projects, hoping to contribute to their successful development.
Eventually it was focussed on establishing the wood workshops ensuring a stable turnover throughout the year, since silos installation itself is a rather seasonal activity.
At the beginning of the 4th quarter of 2008, Tylco was reorganised by allocating the activities of different branches to separate companies operated by Tylco ApS. According to the new structure of the group, Tylco ApS is the mother company of Tylco Byg ApS, Tylco Silomontage ApS and Tylco Invest Aps.
